Disney Infinity Experience Part 2

Disney Infinity Experience Part 2

When I got the game, I had no clue on what to do, or how to even begin playing. So I called my cousin and of course he explained me everything. Did I get it? Not really, but I Googled most things and I sort of got it. Now I know more than before of course.
To play the Disney Infinity Game you need to buy a starter pack that contains the game, the Infinity base, and three different Disney Infinity figures, or just figures. The infinity base is where the figures are placed to play the game, without the base there is no way to play, and without figures on the base there is no way to play, the game only supplies two spots to for characters. The Disney Infinity Figures are the game’s characters, the figures are based o Disney characters like Jack Sparrow, Rapunzel, Queen Elsa, Anna, Lighting McQueen, Franchesco, Mater, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Spiderman and many more.
This game can be fun for children because it related many Disney characters, and it can be fun for teenagers because Marvel characters are also involved and soon the Star Wars characters will emerge.
The game also has an accessory called “Power Disk”. The power disk adds power and items to the characters. The power disks are accessories from Disney Movies like, Cinderella’s Carriage, Bolt’s strength; Rapunzel’s healing power and much more. There are three types of power disks, round power up, hexagonal accessory and hexagonal decorative.
Power disks

Round Power Ups: give the characters special abilities that do not come with the characters.

Hexagonal Accessories: These are mostly vehicles.

Hexagonal Decorative: these are colors or designs for certain decorative toys I the toy box.

Disney Infinity Experience

Disney Infinity Experience

My Recent Experience

Well, I personally love this video game, because it’s all I ever wanted. I love sandbox games, I love most of the Disney characters and I certainly love marvel. I currently own Disney Infinity 2.0; this version includes the Avengers and most of the marvel characters.

I found out about this game because my cousin was so obsessed over it, he has the first version, and he loves it, a little bit too much I must say. I didn’t like it at first, but then an interest grew in me, and so I asked for the game for Christmas, I wasn’t expecting it because it’s kind of expensive, and so if didn’t receive it, I would be ok, and if I received it, I would be ok. When I got it, I was more interested in it.
I played it on Christmas day, and I just couldn’t stop, I finished the story mode in about three days and then I discovered this game had a toy box application, and so I went through it and well, I couldn’t stop playing. The fact that I could create my own world, in the toy box was mind blowing. I still play it, but not as often as before. This game is all about creativity, you can be as creative as you like, and that’s what captivates me the most about this game. I recommend this game to all of those who like the Disney franchise and all of those who love sandbox games. This game is just wonderful and a real success.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire & Milo’s Return SPECIAL TRIVIA

Atlantis: The Lost Empire & Milo’s Return SPECIAL TRIVIA
Atlantis was a movie, that was released in 2001 and its sequel , Atlantis: Milo’s Return, was released in 2003. Both of these movies are incredibly interesting and these are some fun facts:
  • Marc Okrand, who created the Atlantean language, also created the Vulcan and Klingon languages for the "Star Trek" series.
  • For the sole reason that the movie was planned out as an action/adventure, the production crew wore T-shirts to work that read "ATLANTIS - Fewer songs, more explosions". How cool is that?
  • One of the last Disney movies that feature someone that smokes.
  • One of the first Disney films to feature an African American character as an important secondary character.
  • Mike Mignola, creator of the Hellboy comic books (and also co-producer for its corresponding movie) provided many sketches for this film. Mignola was initially contacted by a Disney representative asking if he would work on the project, it I said that Mignola's first response was "How did you get my phone number?".
  • The written Atlantean language is to be read from left to right, drop down a line, and read right to left, continuing this cycle. It was done to create a flowing and water-like movement reminiscent of the Atlantean culture.
  • Milo references the Book of Job when describing the Leviathan. The specific verse he paraphrases is Job 41:18-19.
  • In the movie there are some Atlantean spies stocking the adventurers .When the when the team first meet the Atlantean, the Atlanteans address them in French, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, German, Greek, Chinese, and Taiwanese. Milo speaks to them in Atlantean, Latin and French.
  • When dealing with the designing the city of Atlantis, the filmmakers wanted to avoid the concept of Atlantis as "crumbled Greek columns underwater". Instead, the filmmakers modeled their Atlantis on forms of architecture such as Southeast Asian and Mayan works.
  • The spiral "Atlantis" symbol can be found hidden in many places in the movie.

Atlantis: Milo's Return Review

Atlantis: Milo’s Return Review

Atlantis: Milo’s Return I think is not a very good movie, but I sort of liked it. I liked it because I was and still am a true Atlantis fan, so of course I liked anything Atlantis related. When the first Atlantis movie came out, I loved it and so of course I wanted to see more of it and so I told my brothers that I was sure a sequel for Atlantis would come out, they said they doubted it, but I was sure there would be a sequel so I never stopped believing. Then one day when I was at my grandmother’s house, I was watching TV, and I clearly remember I was watching Toon Disney, and all of a sudden I see a commercial saying that at 7pm they would premiere Atlantis: Milo’s Return. My excitement went overboard, I so stoked. I just couldn’t believe it.  I also remember that this specific channel only came around December, and I use to watch it with my cousin everyday at my grandmother’s house, this channel was in English, so it was neat. I think this channel helped me learn English, because as I was about 6 or 7 years old, and this channel was in English only, I think that helped me improve on my vocabulary and in my pronunciation. That’s a plus! This movie has a particular pattern that I noticed along the years, it sort of has three different adventures in one whole movie, and usually a movie on has a single storyline. I looked up recently and it turns out that Atlantis was supposed to have a TV series, it was called, Team Atlantis. But because of the first movie’s downfall, they stopped production and as they had some episodes done, they just rewrote some of them to fit in with other and they created this TV Sequel.I still like this movie though, because I feel I’m seeing the TV show that was never released, and so it brings cool memories.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire Review

Atlantis: The Lost Empire Review

This movie means so much to me because this was my childhood movie. Atlantis was the first Disney movie I saw, and It blew my mind away, I was obsessed with the movie for a long time, I had the physical copy of the movie, I had Atlantis pajamas, I had everything I wanted. Actually I have, funny story with this movie. When I was a child, I use to see this movie everyday nonstop and various things came out of this; one, I learned how to plug the DVD player to the TV; Two, I actually scratched the movie’s disc, not because I was careless of it, but because I saw it so much, and it just stopped working one day. When I gave the disc a check, I was completely scratched, like if someone grabbed a knife and started to scratch it.

This movie as I said before means so much to me, because this movie gave me the power to believe in what I believed in, and not let myself be driven away from beliefs by someone who told me otherwise. This movie has such a beautiful message and its family friendly. What I liked about his movie is that it’s not your regular animated Disney movie, I sort of looks like a comic book brought to life, and there are any song within the movie, the sort of song that makes the movie seem a musical; it’s just your good old fashion action animated movie. Perfection! If you are the kind of person that likes action movies with bit of adventure, I totally recommend this movie. Hopefully you see it when you get the chance to.

Maleficent SPECIAL TRIVIA

Maleficent is one of the best movies of 2014, this particular movie has very interesting behind the scenes, because Angelina Jolie co-produced this movie. Here are some interesting facts about the movie:
  • On the second day of the Disney D23 Expo, Angelina Jolie admitted that she scared little kids while she wore the maleficent costume, with one of the kids actually saying, “Mommy, please get the mean witch to stop talking to me.” She also said that her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt played young Aurora, because she was the only one of her kids that was not afraid of her.
  • Angelina Jolie herself picked Lana Del Rey to sing the theme song (Once Upon A Dream) for the soundtrack and the end credits.
  • Angelina Jolie did not use a stunt double for this movie, she performed the stunt on her own using harnesses for her fight and battle scenes.
  • Angelina Jolie admitted in an interview that she still a pair of horns at home.
  • The film was released on May, 30, 2014 the same day of Sleeping Beauty’s 55th anniversary (1959).
  • Maleficent’s prosthetics and makeup were inspired by the singer Lady Gaga, more specifically on her “Born This Way” Cover.
  • This movie had the highest budget ever for a first time director.
  • Angelina Jolie also admitted that Mhas aleficent was her favorite Disney Villain when she was younger.
  • If you notice closely, in the Abc Series Once Upon A Time, Maleficent is portrayed as blonde. When she was later brought back, she had a similar look, like the maleficent Angelina Jolie Played.

    Maleficent Review

    Maleficent Review
I adore this movie for two reasons. One, this movie is the living proof that the famous dictum “don’t judge a book by its cover” is real, and two, because it’s very different and way better than the original or first movie that maleficent appeared in. This movie gives us a closer look in Maleficent’s life, and it answers questions many people may be asking. Why is she evil? Why does she all of a sudden hate this kingdom so much? What did the poor baby do to deserve that curse?

I truly think this movie is the living proof that the epigram “don’t judge a book by its cover” is true, because I had various experiences that proved it. Once I saw this movie I loved it immediately, and so I asked some of my relatives if they've seen the movie, they answered things like “I don’t like that movie because maleficent is the devil or I won’t see it because it’s a movie portraying demons.” They actually judged the movie by its poster. When I showed the movie to some of my relatives, they loved it. The actually said “wow, it truly is wonderful, and the movie gives us such a beautiful message.” It truly does give us a beautiful message.
This movie shows us that people can change, and that people aren't always what they seem. I also like this movie because they sort of gave maleficent a chance, a chance to change and be better. I truly recommend this movie; it’s really heartwarming and incredibly special, watch it if you have a chance to.

The Tangled, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid & Frozen Theory

The Tangled, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid & Frozen Theory

Recently I heard that Tangled, Tarzan, Frozen and The Little Mermaid are all connected, story wise. When I heard this news I started to investigate and I found a lot of opinions and theories. I analyzed all of them and they actually made sense.
    1. Anna and Elsa’s mother is Rapunzel’s mother, sister and so that makes Anna, Elsa and Rapunzel, related; which would explain Rapunzel and Flynn’s cameo in Frozen. In the scene of “For the First Time in Forever”, when Anna leaves the palace, Rapunzel and Flynn are seen walking in.
    2. People think that Anna and Elsa’s parents went to a trip to Corona (Rapunzel’s kingdom) for Rapunzel and Flynn’s wedding.
    3. In The Little Mermaid, Ariel and Flounder are seen playing around in a sunken ship, that boat is said to be Anna and Elsa’s parents’ ship. The king and queen’s ship is seen on Frozen, when it sadly sinks.
    4. People also said that the king and queen of Arendele didn’t die in the shipwreck shown in Frozen. Before the ship sank, it is said they had a baby, a baby boy, and when the ship sank, they took a row boat and landed in the jungle, where they were killed by a jaguar, the baby survived. The baby was adopted by apes and was given the name of “Tarzan”.

So to add things up, Anna, Elsa and Tarzan are alleged siblings; Rapunzel, Elsa, Anna and Tarzan are all related. I like this theory because it relates four of my favorite movies together. There are a lot of more theories, and I will eventually write about them.

Cinderella – 2015 Live Action Adaptation

Cinderella – 2015 Live Action Adaptation

This is one of the movies I’m really waiting desperately, because I saw the trailer so many times, I just can’t get enough of it. Cinderella in the Disney franchise is the 12th animated film released, and in the Disney princess line-up she is the 2nd animated film released. When I first heard that Disney was making a live action version of the film, I was surprised and then I felt excited, because I wanted to see how the movie would turn out, this happen four years ago, when I saw the upcoming movies list. Those four years passed and I forgot all about the film, when I check the E! News app one day, it went viral, the Cinderella trailer was released, I was so excited I told everyone I knew, I saw it over and over again just to check if I missed something.

When I saw the trailer, I loved the adaptation; I liked how they played around with the costumes, because if you see the trailer well enough, you’ll see that they designed it to be according the time the tale was set, but yet they add a bit of modern touches, it was impressive. The actors and actresses were also well casted; they seem to fit into the rolls very well. If you really want to see the trailer, I’ll add the link below, and I also strongly recommend this movie to been seen as soon it’s released, which is on March 13. Various other trailers were released this month and you can also enjoy featurettes of the film, all of them available on you tube.
