Big Hero 6 Review

 Review

This year Big Hero 6 was released, this was said to be one of the best animated films of the year, which I doubted before, because I thought it was just boring and it seemed plain. But as I saw the trailer, and a special sneak preview that was advertised, I gave this movie a chance. When I saw it in the movies, I was astounded, I mean, I was totally impressed with the story line and how it really invades your mind and you wrap your head around the movie. It is really heartwarming.

Many people commented how the movie has something for everybody, it truly does, and that’s what really calls my attention because this means you can go to the movies and see it with your family and no one will get bored, kids would have a great time watching it and even adults.

The way how robots are presented to us during these years has been so negative, and I really liked how this movie changed their perspective, you can see how robots come in many sizes and how they aren't always designed to be evil minions. That I think was the best message.

What I also was impressed by, was the fact that this movie is actually a marvel comic based film. I was surprised to see that Disney really could make a super hero movie without it turning it into something lame, I found this film well done, and surprisingly very interesting. You will want more of this film, when it ends, and it’s no surprise, that there will be a sequel.

Into The Woods SPECIAL TRIVIA

SPECIAL TRIVIA

In every movie productions, there is so much you don’t see, like the special effects, or the mishaps. Even so, when you see them, they turn out to be informing and entertaining too, and so for this matter I will be writing a special trivia blog for each movie review I write, just for the sense of entertaining and informing.
In the set of Into the Woods many things happen; and many things that are interesting are untold and these are some of those things.

  • According to Anna Kendrick, the set pieces for the woods, in the film were so big that she and Chris Pine got lost. They even had to set a rescue team from the production staff, to find them in the sound stage.

  • In a Q&A, James Corden recalled a very memorable incident, while in rehearsals in which Meryl was supposed to jump to a table, while her jump, her foot got stuck on her costume and she started to fall backwards, head first. Both Corden and Rob Marshall (Director) thought they would presence the death of the great Meryl Streep, but, then suddenly Emily Blunt stepped in and caught her before touching the floor.

  • This is the fourth time that Lucy Punch plays a step sister on screen. Previous projects are: Ella Enchanted, Cinderella and Fairy Tales.

  • The budget of this film was about 50 Million Dollars.

  • Meryl Streep also commented that in her life time, she was offered many roles as witch, but this is the first one that has ever interested her.

Into The Woods Review & News!

Once Upon A Time Season 4 Announcement
I've decided that from this point forward my blog will not only feature just Once Upon A Time Season 4 Reviews, but now I will expand to other films and series. This doesn't mean that the Once Upon A Time reviews are over but, I will put them off for a while.

Review
If you really like musicals this movie must be on your radar. When I saw this movie the first thing I expected was, a mix of a Tim Burton movie meets Les Miserables. What I also expected was a movie that was kind of vintage and also a bit of an innocent fairytale, but still with a dark feel to it.
I was almost right.
When I saw this movie I was surprised because, one, I never thought this would be a musical. Two, I never imagined that Anna Kendrick sang that well or sang at all. Three, Meryl Streep was great in this roll, I really loved it. Four, I never thought that this movie would end the way it did, and my last, I think this movie is a bit sinister not in its story line, but in the way Disney turned it to; I feel this movie has too many deaths to be a Disney movie, I think this movie should be more directed to the older crowd.
Personally I liked how the movie tells different stories at the same time, but yet somehow they end up being one whole story, and the way the songs tell the stories, they are not boring at all, they are truly entertaining. In the instant I saw the movie; I already had my selection of favorite songs. It’s that good. For example in the beginning of the movie, there is a prologue that lasts like 14 minutes, that song is one of my favorites.
 These are my favorites:
        1.  Prologue: Into The Woods
    2. Giants in The Sky
3On The Steps Of The Palace

I recommend this movie to musical enthusiasts, if you’re not into musicals; this movie is not really for you.

Once Upon A Time 3rd Episode For Season 4

Once Upon A Time 3rd Episode For Season 4
"Rocky Road"

The third episode starts with, Robin Hood, his son and his wife, Miriam walking around Storybrooke, they are showing Miriam around, because as I mention before, she comes from the past. Then suddenly Robin’s kid asked if he could have ice cream, they both agreed, and so, they walked towards the ice cream shop. When they got there, they were greeted by Ingrid, the person in charge of the store, robin and his son, asked for rocky road, as Miriam wasn't from this world, she had the least bit of an idea on what to ask for, and so Ingrid was kind enough to offer her a simple vanilla ice-cream cone, as she added some sprinkles to it, it was seen how Ingrid waved her hand over the cone and some translucent shimmer appeared. What could this be?

As Miriam and Robin Hood entered a municipal meeting that snow white and prince charming had planned, out of nowhere Miriam started to feel dizzy and lost sight, and then of course she fainted. Everybody got scared at that moment. Then, Robin had no one else to go to, and so he went looking for Regina in hopes that she could be of any help. When robin got to her, he asked if there was something she could do to reverse the curse; she sadly said no, there was nothing she could do.
Later on when Regina left to see Miriam, Elsa walked in with Emma, Regina blamed Elsa for what was happening to Miriam, for the curse was lifted with ice magic which Elsa possessed. Elsa told them this wasn't her magic and so they seek the Dark One for his help. He was able to help and turned a lock of Miriam’s hair into snowflakes that lead to the owner’s magic source. Elsa and Hook took the journey and followed the snowflakes.
Eventually the snowflakes lead them to the Snow Queen A.K.A Ingrid. Elsa saw her and she was astounded with what she saw, she saw someone just like her, this made her feel happy and interested.

This episode also tells us how The Snow Queen came to be. It turns out The Snow Queen was released years ago from the same Urn Elsa escaped. Prince Hans, Elsa’s and Anna’s nemesis, released her in hope the urn would dispose of Elsa, and make him the ruler of Arendele. After the snow queen was released, Elsa was grateful for her help, because the Snow Queen froze Hans and saved her. After a while Elsa and Ingrid caught up on their lives, and Elsa found out that The Snow Queen is or was , Elsa’s mother’s sister, that makes  The Snow Queen  Elsa’s and Anna’s Aunt.

Once Upon A Time 2nd Episode For Season 4

Once Upon A Time 2nd Episode For Season 4
 - "White Out"-

Elsa with anger and anguish builds an ice wall and she says that no one will leave the town until her sister, Anna is found. When the wall is built, some light posts are tumbled and the electricity is gone in town. That’s when Emma approaches the town border and sees this wall; she notices a human shadow among the wall and approaches it to investigate it. That’s where Emma meets Elsa. Elsa gets scared and traps Emma and herself in an ice cave. While in the ice cave Emma tries to bond with Elsa. Elsa warns Emma that if Anna isn't found, the whole town would get FROZEN, and then Emma starts showing signs of hypothermia, and started to die. Then Emma’s father (Prince Charming or David) communicated with Elsa and he also was warned, then he went looking for help to Rumpelstiltskin's store and he saw a picture of Ana’s necklace, then he remembered that Ana got branded by Bo Peep and so Bo Peep’s staff can locate her.

When David got to the cave, he told Elsa that they could find Ana with Bo Peep’s staff but they need her to use her magic and drill through the cave to save Emma. But there was an issue; Elsa did not trust in her powers enough to drill through, and so David spoke to her and she gained a bit of confidence. Elsa was able to drill through, Emma was saved. After all of this, the energy got restored in town, and Elsa used Bo Peep’s staff to locate Ana, sadly the staff only released Ana’s Heart Beat, but still Elsa trusted that Ana was Safe and alive. after all the present issues were solved, Emma and Elsa went to the town line to destroy the wall, as Elsa used her magic to destroy nothing was happening, then they asked themselves "why is the wall still up, there is no reason for this to stay frozen?" the Elsa said "I'm the only one with this power, I should be able to undo it". They were wrong.

Once Upon A Time 1st Episode From Season 4

Once Upon A Time 1st Episode From Season 4
Brief Recap From Last Season's Finale Episode
The first episode for this season is all about picking up where they left off last season. For a brief recap, Emma and Hook return from the past, and they bring a young lady from the Enchanted Forest, which turns out to be Robin Hood’s wife, Miriam, who at the present  time she should be dead. To this point, Robin Hood is seeing Regina (The Evil Queen); when Robin Hood sees Miriam, he is surprised to see her because he thought she was dead, which she was, so when Robin sees Miriam, his mind gets all mixed up because he has a code where he fulfills all his vows and never breaks them, and as he and Miriam were married, he made a vow to her to be by her side till death do them part.
But before all this happened no one noticed that an urn had been brought from the past and so that’s where Elsa comes into the picture, she was put in that urn long time ago, and she has no clue how it happened.

In the first episode, Elsa is revealed and she wonders around Storybrooke. Later, Elsa loses control of her powers and as she was fearful of the present world, she accidently makes a Snow monster which terrorizes the town; finally Regina saves Miriam from the snow monster and demonstrates that she is hero and no longer a Villain. Then Elsa keeps wondering around Storybrooke and finds Anna’s necklace, but she was looking for something greater. She was looking for her sister, Anna.

Angular Momentum

Angular Momentum

Last week on our physics class we had a really good time. Who knew physics could be fun? This happen on Friday and it was an interesting experience. Mr. Popoff, our physics teacher, brought some items from the Lab Room, which would demonstrate angular momentum. He brought a spinning pad, or table, but it’s more like a pad; he also brought a bike wheel with handles on each side, and finally one of my favorite items ever, a gyroscope. I've always liked the gyroscopes, because they look very fancy and elegant, but the type of gyroscope Mr. Popoff brought was a scientific one, it was still cool. For the first item, he presented the spinning pad; he stepped on to it with two weights on his hands and asked one of us students to spin him around. The way he spun was simple, at first he was spun with his arms stretched and as the student let go of him, he coiled his arms and he spun faster. The reason I think he spun faster when he coiled his arms, is that when his arms were stretched, the mass was distributed on the edges of the radius and so he spun slowly because of this. When he spun with his hand on his side, he spun faster, maybe because all the mass was in the center of the pad. Later he grabbed the bike wheel; he spun it and then placed it on the rope, and so the wheel remained on the rope spinning and did not fall for a couple of seconds. Then he grabbed the gyroscope, reeled a piece of thread in it and then he reeled it out with speed and the gyroscope spun on a small pedestal and did not fall, later Mr. Popoff told us to carry it and place it on the piece of thread, we did as told and incredibly it continue to spin and did not fall for a while. It was cool. The reason why both the bike and the gyroscope did not fall was because both conserved their own vertical angular momentum.
